We praise zoos that are proactive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and strongly criticize those that are passive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and demand that animal welfare be implemented.
*Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce
their mental and physical stress and have them live a happy life from the standpoint of an ape,
not from a human convenience or emotion.
Among them,
foraging enrichment (installing puzzle feeders and increasing the number of meals so that apes can lead a rich life) can be done at low cost.

Poor Ren. . .the shaking experienced at the beginning of the video was too rough on this little one. Ren kept trying to get away, but the older chimp, laying on their back would not let go of Ren's foot. Honesty, it would have been best if the shaking had caused Ren to vomit right onto the older chimp being far too rough! Have a joyous Holiday. ❤❤❤

環境の上に、心身の安定はあります。
熊本メンバーたちの限りない幸せが全国に少しでも届くといいなぁ。
このセッティングにどれほどの労力が必要か、想像すればわかると思います。
これを毎月のようにやってるんですから、動物が好きかどうかではなく、有意義な暮らしをしてもらいたいという思いがなければ務まりません。
飼育の考え方には天と地の差をかんじます。✨

夕方小さな揺れを感じテレビをつけたら石川県の方で大きな地震が起きたという事だったのでびっくりしました。動物園には被害は無かったようですが、動物達はさぞかし怖い思いをしたでしょね😂レン達の可愛い様子をありがとうございました。高い高いをしてもらっている所や小さな手一杯にご馳走を載せている所や小さな背中の後ろ姿が可愛い過ぎました🩷今年も宜しくお願いします🙏😊

レンギョウのレン！かわいいですね。高い高いされて喜んでいるところ、地上波で拡散してほしい。人と一緒ですよ！ってよくわかりますもん。今さっき、石川県で地震。動物園が心配です。さぞ、怖い思いをしてることだろう。。。。無事だといいです。

What a wonderful Xmas party! Congratulations, zoo staff, great job and marvellous decoration! The chimps seemed to love the treats, everyone was calm, peaceful and kind to the others - and baby Ren is loved by everybody! Heartwarming video indeed, thank you, GAZ! It clearly shows that making captive apes is not a question of money, but question of love and dedication. This troop gets both from the zookeepers!

i hope all the cousins across japan are not affected from the earthquake,they deserve the best life ever lived,i wish they were like us to recognize holidays and birthdays,if they did i bet they will be more gentle to each other,@Great Apes,happy new year,and keep up the good work,if is not you and very few others to inform and show us these beautiful cousins,most likely we will never knew they ever existed,thank you again and may this new year bring you happiness and new adventures✌🏻

omg and the little one god bless him,where he put all that food only god knows,what an apetite and ate sooo much food for his size,i know they eat a lot but this is over the limit 😂😂😂 i like to see that all the time,thats mean they are healthy,same like us,if im sick i cant eat anything for days,when in good shape i cant stop eating 😂from
what i see here,i cant tell that this zoo really take good xare of them,not like others,Furt zoo is like a jail,limited food limited sun light,everything limited in very poor way
